I do. When I was 12 I met this 20 yr old guy and the only explanation I had of how saying hello to him made me feel was intimidated. (he was just a guy, friends of the older brothers and sisters of my friends)
20 yrs after meeting him as an acquaintance and not seeing him for 10 yrs, I went to a reunion weekend and I heard my Dad say, “Hey Pete”, I looked up, saw Peter, lost my breath with the same feeling I had as a little girl and the difference was I knew at that moment he was the man I was supposed to be with. I avoided him like the plague for 3 days, it didn’t work. We are very happy with a 3 yr old.
There was never anything between us until I was 32 and he was 40. I loved him my whole life and never new it. And it was by chance that he was even there for that weekend. I only ran into him because he was running late. He was taking a walk, gonna get in his car and go home. He saw me and stayed with his mother another 4 days.
It does happen!
