I am not a fan of Oprah Winfrey because she is a racist. I have heard her speak to an all black group and she is so racist against whites it is terrible! If you watch the way that she treats her white guests on the show compared to the black guests on her show you will she just how obvious. I have heard her even proclaim that she will not shop at a store where the owner is white. Yes, this came out of her mouth. I have also heard her tell a story about how her parents told her to be kind to white people and then they would be kind to her, and she said she only wished her mama could see her now because she is good to all of her white help. And after she said that she laughed like they were below her or something like that. I thought to myself, you bag, it was probably a white producer that made you big in the world of TV. Also she does not give all of those gifts away, like cars and such, it is the companies that donates them and they give them to her to give away. She is not near as generous as she portrays herself to be. If you do some research and listen to some of her speeches you will see how racist she really is. It is very sad in my opinion.

One of my favourites occurred almost daily in my childhood. My sister and I used to walk from school every day. I went to school in Belmont so I walked from there, picked her up from school in Port of Spain and we walked to our father’s office in St. James and waited for him to take us home.
As we walked home, we caught up on all the day’s gossip then the books came out.
We walked around the Savannah and into St. James with our noses deep in books, silent except for the occasional ooh and aah. As I was the elder, I shared all of my reading material with my sister. She read all of the books I did for Literature right along with me and I read all of hers. On the way home we discussed the books we read.
The conversation we shared developed a bond that exists to this day. Those memories are the some of the best in my entire life.

Although there are any number of alternate Internet stations to download or use to listen to their playlists or create your own.

I prefer iTunes, Windows Media Player or AOL because they are big companies that are not going to clutter up your computer (well, with the possible exception of AOL). They are all free and all offer an astounding array of choices.

The following sites will have live broadcasts or allow you to set up a custom station to your taste:

Hydrogen isn’t considered an energy source, it’s more of a way to store energy. Currently, electrolysis to produce hydrogen from water is very inefficient, but using nano-materials a company called QSI Quantumsphere has boosted efficiency to 85%. You still need enough energy to make up the difference but if you used solar or some other source for the electricity, you could produce the hydrogen as you need it, for combustion or to use in a fuel cell.

It’s risky to carry a tank of hydrogen in your car, it can be reduced to a liquid or even a solid metallic form, but that requires still more energy. The only by-product from using hydrogen is water so it won’t reduce oxygen levels.

Using corn to make fuel is stupid and inefficient, the US Department of Energy is testing the use of switchgrass to make ethanol and it appears it’s far more efficient. Corn ethanol returns 25% more energy than it takes to produce it and requires good farmland to produce. Switchgrass not only uses marginal land that isn’t now used for farming at all, but it returns 540% more energy than it takes to grow it. It also has a permanent root system that stores 94% of the CO2 produced from making it and burning it as a fuel, with fewer greenhouse gas emissions than corn ethanol.

Either of these are very promising new ways to fuel cars in the future, with less or even no pollutants.

I’m not sure where you are located, but the above wholesalers only ship to the U.S…..sorry. But if you are in the U.S., I highly recommend checking them out. I used rosesource for my son’s wedding and can vouch for their service.

Without flowers you can still do a variety of things, such as:

~ What about stacking favor boxes on a cake pedestal? Here is a link with a picture:

~ Here is another link with a favor and centerpiece combination:

~ Sugared fruit always makes a beautiful centerpiece and is easy to do.

~ Another idea: Have your parents, family and friends make copies of their wedding photos and put them in nice frames to use as centerpieces. Your guests can enjoy the look of weddings past - especially with parents and grandparents’ wedding photos.

~ You can still do candles even though it’s daytime. I think candles are nice anytime. Perhaps something with a floating candle? This site has lots of ideas:

Good luck!

“Little Bunny”…working at Petsmart for a whole year hardly qualifies you to diagnose a turtle over the internet. Turtles internal organs do not continue to grow and their shell stop growing. Only metabolic bone disorder caused by improper diet or lack of UVB can cause this. Please consider prefacing to people that you really don’t have much knowledge of turtles before answering questions.

Frankly if you can’t afford the vet, you can’t afford the pet.
Aren’t you glad your health care is not left to someone else’s whim? Have you even talked to a vet? Work out a payment plan or something.

Your asking for answers here, but even the most experienced among us cannot diagnose this here without seeing the animal, but if I could, I would not feel comfortable telling you how to play doctor without knowing how much you know about herps.

If your turtle does have a virus, what did you hope to do about it on yahoo answers anyway? You don’t care enough about it’s life to find a way to get it to the vet, even if someone could tell you what it was….do you have systemic antibiotics? Do you know how to give SQ or IM injections to Chelonians? And where, so as to avoid the renal portal system?

It could be viral resulting in a secondary bacterial infection, it could be primarily bacterial, it could be nutritional defects based upon what you say you are feeding it, it could be metabolic bone disorder, lack of UVB lighting, toxins, stray voltage from a submersible pump or heater, it could be parasites from unclean water, a pucture to the tympanic membrane resulting in infection, going to the bathroom less may indicate impaction as well, and impaction can cause inflammation and infection too….where would you like to start?

Take it to a vet if you want it to live.
And see austinsturtlepage and
anapsid.org/mainchelonians/html for proper care information.

CML is NOT hereditary; it is an acquired problem. Historically it was difficult to control long-term, as it transformed into acute leukemia (blast crisis). Currently, a new class of drugs (tyrosine kinase inhibitors) have transformed the treatment; most patients are placed into a molecular remission by one of these drugs, meaning that to the best of our ability we cannot detect evidence for the disease. Does it mean cure? Not sure yet, but maybe for some, or at least control of the disease for a long time(? for life, like high blood pressure- it is not cured, it is controlled).

Acai berries have shown no such benefit as quoted above. They may taste good (or maybe not), but please don’t put your faith in only that.

DIC did not lead to or cause this; it is possible DIC could be caused by CML or its complications however. Given the way these drugs have transformed the care of CML patients, it is a time to be optimistic about future treatment and expectations.

God bless, best wishes

Is this big ENOUGH??

Ultimately, no, a 100 gallon tank will not be big enough for those four fish. Each of these fish require about 50-70 gallons each, so you’re going to ultimately need about a 200-280 gallon tank for these four fish. If your fish are still small and not full-grown, a 100 gallon will work […]

Ultimately, no, a 100 gallon tank will not be big enough for those four fish. Each of these fish require about 50-70 gallons each, so you’re going to ultimately need about a 200-280 gallon tank for these four fish. If your fish are still small and not full-grown, a 100 gallon will work for a while. But, be prepared to upgrade again. The basic rule for determining filtration for tropical fish is that the filter move 4 times the amount of water per hour as the size of the tank. So, if you have a 100 gallon tank, you need a 400 gph filter. A 200 gallon tank would require an 800 gph filter. As far as heater, any will do just so it has an adjustable thermostat. Make sure that you have a thermometer as well to keep track of the temperature. Oscars (Cichlids) like sandy bottoms and lots of rocks, caves and plants that will divide their territories.
